Installing Office Tools Professional

When installing Office Tools Professional, there are a few things you need to keep in mind...

For domain users:

  • Network security settings can hinder your installation. If possible, run the installation as a domain admin. This will insure that the installer will have all the necessary rights to install all of the components.
  • Network Antivirus utilities can also prevent Office Tools Professional from installing correctly. Disabling the antivirus before you install is a good measure to prevent any possible corruption during installation.

For workgroup (peer to peer) users

  • If you are running under Windows XP Service Pack 2, your operating system may not allow Office Tools Professional to extract all of the files needed for installation. In order to remedy this, you will have to do the following...

** Right-click on the 'setup.exe' file and select the 'Run as...' option. View image
** uncheck the 'Protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity' then click 'OK' View image
Following the steps in this article will help prepare your systems for the installation of Office Tools Professional.
