We're excited that you are interested in exploring how Practice Management can transform your office. Below are our technical requirements to run our software, it is important that you or your technology support company understands your network.
We build our software to connect and work in many different type of environments but if your network environment is different or more complex please contact our technical support before installing. If you haven't seen the software in action yet request a web demonstration, our team will walk through the entire software with you answering any questions you might have.
Workstation Requirements
- Windows XP SP2 or later or Windows XP Embedded SP2 Feature Pack 2007, Windows Vista or Windows 7 32bit or 64bit
- Microsoft .net 3.5 framework
- 1024 X 768 minimum resolution
- 128mb Video card
- Color Depth Set to "High Color (32 bit)" or higher
- MS Windows Standard Fonts
- English Language Set
- 3GB Ram Minimum, Recommend 4GB Ram or More
- 2.0ghz Dual Core or above Processor
- Antivirus programs should not scan the Office Tools program files. Firewall ports for SQL must also be opened.
- AVG free Antivirus & Support Soft Assisted Service are not supported
Server Requirements
- Windows Server 2003 or 2008 32bit or 64bit Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter Editions SP2 or later or Windows Small Business Server 2003 or 2008 SP2 or later or Windows XP SP2 or later or Windows Terminal Services (limited features)
- 8GB Ram Minimum, Recommend single SQL instance per server
- Antivirus programs should not scan SQL files and SQL Firewall ports will need to be opened.
- Microsoft SQL 2005 or SQL express (provided by Office Tools Professional)

- Dymo Printers for labels

Network Requirements
- Ethernet infrastructure
- Server-Based Network or Windows Peer-to-Peer Network - Office Tools Client Software and SQL Server must reside in the same network
- Internet Connection required for all systems for updating & support. Firewall Port 3306 for license, Client Portal or DropFolder.net client file transfer must be opened
- Antivirus programs should not scan SQL files and exclusions for the Office Tools program must be entered for workstations. Additional Ports may be required.
